The cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all known living organisms. It is the smallest unit of life that is classified as a living thing, and is often called the building block of life.
More than 100 trillion cells make up the human body. Most of these cells contain all the genes and other information needed to “build” a human being. Much of this genetic information is found in the nucleus of the cell, a “control center” that keeps all the material together in one place.
Around every cell is a CELL MEMBRANE. The membrane is like a big plastic bag with tiny holes in it. Scientists also call the cell membrane or PLASMA MEMBRANE.It is through these small holes that Glucose ,oxygen from the blood. other nutrients enter the cell so are also the waste material transported out into the blood stream which will be excreted.
Multi cellular organisms replicate new cells. example, we produce new skin cells ,hair cells . stomach,liver cells and all other cells by replicating the DNA found in that cell through mitosis.
A group of cells form tissues, and a group of tissues for organs like pancreas , heart, liver, stomach. and a group of organs forms the whole body….
We must now understand that every cell in our body may be of various sizes, colours, and different function…. the cell in the eye is light sensitive. the cell in our skin is sensitive to touch, or the cells in the pancreas produces insulin…. though they have different functions, but the basic building in all the cells are the SAME.
Each and every cell takes it nutrition from the nutrients in the BLOOD and performs its function according to the DNA codes which resides in the cell…..
Every cell in our body has a certain period of life…It may range from a few hours up to a years…. with this in mind we must also understand that new cells are being produced at every moment, and are replacing the old cells…..
It is here that we are in conscious control in the production of new and healthy cells….. what we breathe, eat, drink…. Absorption is the vital phase in our eating and drinking, also our body need the time and space to repair ….. good sleep or rest ….
